Slenderslam 2K19

Introduction

Slender Slam 2K19, one of the lowest profile titles in the long list of scrapped wrestling titles would’ve featured a grappling Farmer to help you out in backstage combat situations and bonuses stages featuring a masked safari masseur, hellbent on satisfying Slender Slam host, Mitch Sizemore's relaxation needs. Would these original ideas boost sales? Would the Farmer's video game debut have fans favouring SS2K19 over WWE releases? Maybe. So why the cancellation?
It's all about the fan bases of both promotions. The WWE network had over 1.6 million paid subscriptions by the end of 2019. Slender Slam's YouTube channel's 65 loyal subscribers - most of which are the actual participants - would have surly thought about purchasing the game, or at least part exchange with old games at their local CEX. This unfortunately wouldn't quite be enough to compete. This grappling title spent quite a lot of time in development at Ghoulies Entertainment Digital shaping up to feature a gritty career mode set in the criminal underbelly of the Waterloo Arms. Players would have laced the boots of a young Blue Blazer and been given access to an arsenal of high flying moves. Foes would have included villains such as Mr Perfect, Ted DiBiase and Skinner. A short trailer was uploaded by Steve Phillipson and showcases combat sequences from the game. Clearly, it’s not a finished product, but it’s still an interesting glimpse at what SS2K19 would have looked like. The Sizemore character, who we’d previously glimpsed at in concept art is definitely the standout absentee in this video.

The doubters says it won't happen. But they don't really know us. We're the people who survive head first falls from trees. The ones that endure self inflicted eye injuries yet still wear face paint. We're the party that started in 2009 and refuses to stop. We are Slender Slam.
