Steve Blackman

Introduction

Steve Blackman (born September 28, 1963) is an American martial arts instructor, footwear profiler, lethal weapon and former professional wrestler.

Slenderslam

Originally Blackman was booked to appear at Slenderslam 7 however a delay in an eBay purchase of black pyjamas bottoms saw him replaced the day before by Abe Schwartz.However, the following year Blackman made his long awaited debut at Slenderslam 8 where he wowed the packed out Waterloo Arms with his martial arts manoeuvres including two spinning kicks and a savate kick.
During the event some real heat existed between High Energy and Blackman backstage when the two argued over who was the first black man to appear at the event, it later transpires that the Birdman was due significant sponsorship from the WOBO federation that was later revoked due to Blackman's attendance.Blackman later referenced this altercation in his book 'High Energy can suck my ****' where he cites this altercation as the reason for his global snubbing on the convention circuit.
Rumour and innuendo surfaced in 2019 that a Slenderslam 8 promotional interview between Mitch Sizemore and Blackman had surfaced that had never previously been seen, reports stated that Blackman, upset by Sizemore's lazy interview style and lack of knowledge of Blackman's achievements, resulted in Sizemore being choked out and having to be pulled off by IRS and Greg Valentine. Sizemore strongly denied these allegations demanding that Blackman show the tapes, claiming he did get pulled off at Summerslam 8 but the only video evidence was in the hands of Sweet Sapphire. Blackman was shortlisted for the Slenderslam 10 HOF but turned down the opportunity claiming he was already a lethal weapon and being inducted might make him too dangerous to walk the earth.

Personal life

Blackman is married and has two children Clampton and Jennifer. Blackman works as a footwear monitor in the central Pennsylvania area.
