Mantaur

Introduction

Mantaur was the offspring of the Cretan Queen Pasiphae and a majestic bull. Due to his monstrous form, King Minos ordered the craftsman, Daedalus, and his son, Icarus, to build a huge maze known as the Labyrinth to house the beast. The Minotaur remained in the Labyrinth receiving annual offerings of fit young maidens to devour. His monthly wrestling magazine subscriptions kept him well informed of his favourite sport and eventually constructed his own ring from various debris and even the body parts of his victims.

Slenderslam 8

Mantaur was misinformed about Slender Slam 9's roster by his unreliable informer, Papa Shango. The pair had worked mystic magics together many years ago and have since kept a secret bond. The voodoo magician's powers failed him when communicating with Mantaur from Parts Unknown. He led Mantaur to believe Lex Luger would be attending 2017's Slender Slam, but was two years out. Since Lex had eliminated Mantaur from 1995's Royal Rumble the mighty bull had thrived for revenge. After sailing to England to satisfy his blood lust, Mantaur was sent into an insane frenzy when discovering his nemesis wasn't in attendance. The Slenderslam contestants racked up several rounds of Summer Lightning to tame the creature in order to have him transported back to his homeland.

Post Slenderslam

Mantaur has been searching the underworld and mystical realms for Papa Shango to punish him for his lack of vision. Foolish blunders are not easily forgiven. When not eating people in his labyrinth - or using their scalps for turnbuckle pads - Mantaur keeps a close eye on Slenderslam's activities and has been furious during the 2019 -2020 Championship reign of his arch enemy, Lex Luger.
